John Harpole

Mr. Harpole is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Leadership Advisory Services and a member of the Financial Services Practice. John has more than 25 years of private capital advisory and institutional investment experience, encompassing public equities, alternative- and real-assets. Earlier in his career, John advised alternative-asset fund sponsors as a senior project manager in J.P. Morgan Chase’s Private Funds Group and, later, as the entrepreneur/principal of a FINRA-registered advisory firm that originated and executed client mandates in the U.S. and abroad. A native Milwaukeean, John earned his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business. A former Foreign Service officer in the U.S. Department of State, John served on assignment in Washington, D.C., and as Staff Aide to the American ambassador in Bogotá, Colombia.
